London's Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) has expanded to Greater London, including Heathrow Airport, from August 2023. A daily charge may be required, Checking about Ultra Low Emission Zone is highly recommended. 

From the west:
Leave the M4 at junction 5 (A40/ B470). At the roundabout, take the third exit onto the A4, signposted Colnbrook, then follow signs for Heathrow and Hounslow. At the traffic lights, turn right, signposted M25, Heathrow Airport and Staines. After approximately 300 metres, take the first exit at the roundabout onto the Old Bath Road and continue through Longford village. Thistle Heathrow T5 is 250 metres on the right-hand side.

From London:
Leave the M4 and Junction 4 and take the first exit, signposted Heathrow Terminals 1, 2 and 3. At the next roundabout (with the Emirates A380 Airbus), take the second exit, signposted Terminal 4. After about 30 metres, take the first exit off the roundabout signposted Slough, A4. At the traffic lights, turn left onto the A4, signposted Staines. Travel along Bath Road and just before McDonalds and the Total petrol station, turn left onto Old Bath Road. The hotel is located 100 metres on the left-hand side.

From the M25:
Leave the motorway at Junction 14 signposted Terminal 4 + cargo, Stanwell and approach the roundabout. At the roundabout, follow signs to A3113 – Heathrow, Stanwell (Terminal 4/5 + Cargo). Follow the A3113 for ½ a mile, approach roundabout. At the roundabout, leave 1st exit signposted A3044, Colnbrook, Longford (Stanwell Moor road). Follow the A3044 for ¾ of a mile passing Terminal 5 on the right, and approach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take 3rd exit signposted Londford (Bath Road,) and continue straight on this road passing the White Horse pub at ¼ of a mile on the left and exiting the village ¼ of a mile further on. Upon exiting the village, Thistle London Heathrow T5 is immediately on your right, opposite the Premier Inn.

By Rail

The Heathrow Express runs direct from London Paddington in just 20 minutes to the Heathrow Terminal 5 stop, with a train every quarter of an hour. London Underground also operates between the airport and the capital via the Piccadilly line and takes around 40-60 minutes from central London. Get off at the Heathrow Terminal 5 stop and follow the directions from the airport below.

From the Air

From Terminal 5
You can take local service bus 423 from stand 6 to reach Thistle Heathrow. The journey takes up to 12 minutes and the price starts from £1.75 per person per journey.

To travel to the terminal, the same service bus will take you from Thistle Heathrow to Terminal 5.

From Terminals 2, 3 & 4
The best option from Terminals 2, 3 & 4 is to take the Heathrow Connect train to Terminal 5 (which is free to use between terminals). Then take local service bus 423 from stand 6 to Thistle Heathrow, the price starts from £1.75 per person per journey

To travel to the terminal, the same service bus will take you from Thistle Heathrow to Terminal 5, then you can take the same route from Terminal 5 to Terminals 2, 3 or 4.

Free transfer between terminals. 

You can now travel between terminals 2,3,4,5 for free using the London Underground Service & Shuttle Trains (Elizabeth Line & Heathrow Express) that run every 15 minutes and take about 20 minutes to travel between terminals. These services require Transport for London Oyster card or contactless payment mechanism, or you can get the tickets at the terminal, to activate the ticket gates, but no charge is applied for inter–terminal transfers.
