Terms and Conditions of Booking

The following terms and conditions apply to bookings made on this website. Please read them carefully before making a booking.

When you make a booking, your contract is with the owner of the individual hotel. The owner’s details will appear on the booking confirmation you receive.

Bookings


All offers of accommodation and other services featured on the website are subject to availability and we reserve the right to refuse any booking.

Prices


The prices displayed on the website are a total for your requested stay. The room type and any meals, service or VAT (at the current rate) included are as specified. A minimum length of stay, deposit, cancellation and other conditions may apply to certain rates, as specified.

Payment


You will need to provide a credit card [or debit card] at the time of booking to secure your booking. Where a deposit or full payment is required in advance, by booking you are authorising the debiting of the card provided.

We accept the following methods of payment: Credit Cards: Amex, Mastercard / Diners Intnl, Diners Club, JCB Int'l Credit Card, Visa. [Debit Cards: Visa/Delta and Visa/Electron ]
Prior to departure from the hotel you must settle any outstanding room and other incidental charges relating to your stay.

Cancellation/ Non-Arrival Charges


If for any reason you find it necessary to cancel your booking then please cancel your reservation through the channel through which the original reservation was processed or through our Call Centre or direct with the appropriate hotel/s. A cancellation reference will be given and should be retained for any cancellation.

Cancellations and/or amendments must be made prior to 1400 hrs local time on the day of arrival.

Cancellation and non-arrival charges apply where cancellations are not permitted or that less than the required period of notice is given to release the booking. Please refer to the specified cancellation rules at the time the reservation was made.

Thistle Hotels reserves the right to charge for one night’s accommodation per room booked if the above cancellation requirements are not met.

Change of Booking Details


Reservations may be amended in line with the booking conditions accepted at the time of the original reservation/s. Changes may be made subject to those conditions and any deposit/prepayment held is subject to those booking terms at the time of the original reservation.

Arrival and Departure


Your room will usually be available from 14.00 hrs on the specified date of arrival. On your departure day we ask that you vacate your room by 12 noon (unless a later departure is stated as part of your booking), otherwise you may be subject to an additional charge of up to one additional night's stay.

Dependant on each guest individual needs a selection of specifically designed rooms is provided at each of our hotels.

Leisure


If you are staying in a hotel with a leisure club you may use that club throughout your stay. A condition of using the facilities is that you must comply with the club’s rules, a copy of which is available at the club reception.

Children under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult at all times and cannot use the facilities after 6pm except on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday when they can use the pool until 8pm. For a health and safety reasons children under 16 are not permitted to use the gymnasium and children under 12 are not able to use the sauna, spa bath or steam room.

At time certain facilities may become unavailable due to maintenance, adverse weather conditions or other reasons beyond our control. We will attempt to keep you fully informed of these however this may not always be possible. If any facility is a significant reason for your choice of hotel, you are advised to check direct with the hotel in advance.

Please note that there may be a local charge for the use of some facilities and if in doubt this should be checked with the relevant hotel.


Hotel Events


Please be aware that at certain times throughout the year some of our hotels may host weddings, events and parties, which you may feel, would be an intrusion on your break. Please contact the individual hotel for further information.

Insurance


We advise you to take out insurance to cover the cost of cancellation and other risks including loss or damage to personal belongings or personal accident.
The hotel’s liability for guest belongings is generally limited under the Hotel Proprietors Act.

Our hotels maintain appropriate insurance cover where the hotel is at fault for any injury or loss or damage suffered by our guests.

Parking


Where the hotel has its own car park, there may be a charge and/or limited spaces available. Please check the individual hotel page or contact the hotel for details.

If you have a problem


In the unlikely event that you have a problem during your stay you must bring it to the attention of the hotel management at the time during your stay, to ensure that we have an opportunity to rectify the problem.
