Located in Kensington Gardens near Hyde Park, Thistle Kensington Gardens is one of the rare luxury 4 star hotels in London that can boast royal neighbours. In fact, the “house next door” to Thistle Kensington Gardens hotel is Kensington Palace, former out-of-town retreat of William III, birthplace of Queen Victoria and, more recently, home of Diana, Princess of Wales.
Thistle Kensington Gardens is located on Bayswater Road near Notting Hill. For out-of-town guests, we are located near Paddington and near Paddington Station, home of the Heathrow Express rail service from Heathrow airport. Nearby Queensway Underground Station is a few minutes walk from the Hotel and the Hotel is also near Edgware Road.
Across Bayswater Road in Hyde Park are the Kensington gardens from which we take our name. These gardens were the pet project of Queen Anne. And from many of our recently refurbished bedrooms, including 37 Executive rooms, you’ll enjoy superb views over her magnificent creation. London traffic wardens are notoriously diligent, so you’ll be glad to learn we have on-site car parking available at a modest additional charge.
