Located in the city centre, The Grand is a quiet haven in the heart of buzzing Bristol. Its central location is ideal for both business and pleasure offering 182 bedrooms and 10 meeting rooms. And you don’t have to worry about parking, as we have our own car park on-site, which is a real bonus.

The Grand (formerly known as Thistle Bristol) dates from the Victorian age, when local hero IK Brunel reshaped Bristol - and the world - with engineering feats like the Clifton Suspension Bridge and SS Great Britain. In a city that’s no stranger to major feats of construction we’ve been engaged in extensive refurbishment works of our own. We’ve completed refurbishment of the majority of our bedrooms and have fully refurbished our spectacular Wessex Suite and Grand Ballroom resulting in a more modern and contemporary look and feel whilst retaining the hotel’s Victorian charm. We’re currently refurbishing our Restaurant and reception which completes at the beginning of July.

With its location in the city centre we’re one of the best business, wedding and party venues Bristol has to offer. We have 182 rooms, including Deluxe rooms and Suites and there’s room for 600 people seated theatre style in the largest of our 10 meeting rooms. And after a long day of meetings or sightseeing, our Otium Health & Leisure Club has everything you need to relax and recharge.

Bristol is one of Britain’s best destinations for weekend and city breaks and has an enormous range of things to do, from serious retail therapy in the new multi-million pound Cabot Circus shopping centre, discovering Brunel’s greatest engineering achievements to exploring the vibrant café culture and nightlife.
