For business meetings, special events and weddings or banquets, the Hotel has four fully-equipped meeting rooms, the largest seating 75 people theatre style or up to 100 in a reception. Techfest, Aberdeen's unique festival of technology and science, ranges across the city, including the Aberdeen Beach Ballroom and Leisure Centre. Visitors can find out about nature, food, science-fiction, how local industries and services work and, of course, fireworks!
Scottish Opera's first visit to Aberdeen's His Majesty's Theatre this season brings another new Sir Thomas Allen production. After directing Rossini's Il barbiere di Siviglia he continues Figaro, Count Almaviva and Rosina's story in Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro.
Bustling Aberdeen Country Fair takes place in the city centre every first and last Saturday of the month and specialises in the finest local produce. There's everything here from Aberdeen Angus beef and fresh locally landed fish to whisky, wines, homemade confectionary and handicrafts.
Head down to Aberdeen's Belmont St and the Academy Shopping Centre for this monthly street market, where around 20,000 punters come to feast their eyes on local produce, delicacies and goodies.
Aberdeen's Union Terrace hosts regular International Street Markets, attracting 120,000 visitors to the city centre. Around 70 stalls offer food, crafts and gardening supplies alongside fresh fruit and vegetables, herbs, spices and plants.
