Cricket Festival, Cheltenham, July
Cheltenham will be attracting cricket fans this summer as it hosts the longest running festival of this sport in the world.
Between July 30th and August 10th at Cheltenham College the Cheltenham Cricket Festival will take place, giving fans of the sport two weeks of action.
Gloucestershire County Cricket Club will take on a series of opponents during the course of the fortnight, including teams from Worcestershire, Nottingham, Sussex and Leicester.
Cricket games will begin on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Sundays and will last between one and four days each.
There will also be a musical treat for festival goers on Thursday July 31st, as the Band of the Princes of Wales's Division will perform during the Tea Interval.
Furthermore, August 7th has been earmarked as Ladies Day, in order to give business women and their males colleagues a chance to network in the Ladies Business Marquee with the backdrop of cricket.

Cheltenham is inviting twinkled-toed foxtrotters from around the UK to come dancing in the city next month.
Between August 1st and 3rd at Cheltenham Town Hall in Imperial Square the Summer Ballroom Dancing Festival will take place.

A range of musical talent will descend upon the Gloucestershire city of Cheltenham next month for an annual celebration.
Between July 4th and 19th, the Cheltenham Music Festival will take place featuring a wide range of musical acts hailing from all over the world.
Highlights of this year's festival will include a performance entitled Film: The Full Monteverdi on Saturday July 5th at the Pitville Campus of the University of Gloucester.
The performance is a screen reworking of Fagiolini's interpretation of Monteverdi's fourth Book of Madrigals, which was well received at the Daffodil festival in 2005.
Furthermore, on Thursday July 10th the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir will perform at Tewkesbury Abbey at 19:00 BST.
Meurig Bowen, director of the Cheltenham Music Festival, says on the event's official website that he hopes this year will help people reassess their notions of classical music.
He added: "Every single note of every single concert in this festival will, I hope, blow these notions apart - this same classical music is vibrant, welcoming, absorbing and very much alive."

In previous years the event has attracted praise from TV chat show host Michael Parkinson, who described it as "fabulous" and the Independent newspaper, which named it the UK's leading jazz festival.
Cheltenham is located less than 100 miles from London and is famous for its horse racing and painted stucco facades, which line the town's historic parade and squares.

A classic Disney story will come to life again in Gloucestershire this summer, providing parents with the perfect summer holiday day out for their children.
Between Tuesday August 19th and Saturday August 3rd Cheltenham Children's' Theatre Association will present Beauty and the Beast at the Cheltenham Playhouse.
Evening performances will begin at 19:30 BST each day, while there will also be a matinee performance at 14:00 BST on Friday August 22nd.
Billed by the theatre as a "musical comedy treat for the whole family", the performance will also mark the 50th anniversary of the founding of Cheltenham Children's Theatre Association.
The association puts on a play at the theatre each year and allows youngsters to handle every aspect of the show, from direction to lighting.
During August the theatre is also running a number of summer schools for children, which parents at a loose end may want to consider enrolling their offspring for.
