Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia - Thistle Port Dickson Resort clinched the Best Hotel/Resort Award during the Negeri Sembilan Tourism Industry Award 2010 competing against 10 other hotels from all over the state. HE Dato’ Haji Mohammad Razi bin Haji Kail, Chairman of Tourism Action Committee, Unity, Culture, Arts, Heritage and Malay Customs presented the award to Dean Rossilli, Regional General Manager of Thistle Hotels & Resorts, Malaysia in the ceremony held on 4th April 2011 at Klana Resort, Seremban, Negeri Sembilan. 

The unique property’s stunning 90 acres of green resort which houses a 9-hole newly upgraded golf course, an Eco-Park, Kids Club, expansive outdoor swimming pool, three restaurants, beach bar complete with an adults only infinity pool, two fully floodlit tennis courts, a beach volley ball court, SWAT Camp, seven meeting rooms and 251 impressive modern contemporary rooms made the Thistle Port Dickson Resort the choice for the panel of judges.

Hotels which vied for the title competed were judged in five areas: Room, Reception, Premise Design including interior, Food & Beverage outlets and Entertainment Outlets.

Nine awards were presented that night which were tourism Industry related: The Best Tourism Article, The Best Homestay, Best Tourism Operator, Best Tourist Guide, Best Shopping Centre, Best Restaurant, Best Budget Hotel, Best Tourism Product and finally the most awaited award for the night - the Best Hotel Award.
