I’m Hugh and it’s my job to meet and greet customers at Thistle Haydock’s Beechers restaurant, and make them feel special from the moment they walk in.

One of the best things about what I do is getting to meet different people on a regular basis – I spend time getting to know everyone that comes into the restaurant and I like nothing more than keeping them entertained. People remember me for my outgoing personality and they often wonder how I have so much energy at the grand age of 69. My secret is simple – a spot of golf, ballroom dancing and singing!
