Relaxed and welcoming, our Rendez Vous restaurant has an enticing menu featuring home-cooked British and Continental dishes, complemented by an extensive wine list. Meanwhile, our Bar & Lounge serves a wide range of drinks, snacks and light meals in informal surroundings – perfect between meetings, after work or before dinner.
And if you’re starting early, or staying up late, our full room service menu means you can always get hold of a drink, snack or light meal, even out of hours.
Rendez Vous Bar
A busy city centre bar offering a large range of drinks, wine and cocktails in air-conditioned comfort and a relaxed atmosphere. You can also enjoy the latest sports fixtures shown on the three large screen LCD TVs.
Rendez Vous Restaurant
A busy city centre restaurant, located directly opposite the central train station. Offering British and European dishes cooked in our open theatre kitchen. Bookings are requested but not essential, non hotel residents are welcome.

The world's largest storytelling project, Culture Shock celebrates the age-old art of telling tales, albeit in a modern way. Held in Newcastle's Hancock Museum, this exhibition displays digital stories or 'mini movies' created by people from throughout the northeast of England.
