Not many luxury 4 star hotels in London can boast royal neighbours. But we can at Thistle Kensington Gardens hotel. The “house next door” is Kensington Palace, former out-of-town retreat of William III, birthplace of Queen Victoria and, more recently, home of Diana, Princess of Wales.
The gardens from which we take our name were the pet project of Queen Anne. And from many of our recently refurbished bedrooms, including 37 Executive rooms, you’ll enjoy superb views over her magnificent creation.
We can accommodate 45 people theatre style in the largest of our four meeting rooms, making us a popular meeting and elegant wedding reception venue. London traffic wardens are notoriously diligent, so you’ll be glad to learn we have on-site car parking available at a modest additional charge.
And there’s no shortage of things to do, with London’s bustling West End nearby just a short cab, bus or tube ride away, or a 15 minute walk.

Kenneth MacMillan's acclaimed production of Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet, premièred in February 1965 with Fonteyn and Nureyev, returns to the Royal Ballet's repertoire at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden. Boris Gruzin conducts.
David Alden's striking English National Opera production of Donizetti's Lucia di Lammermoor returns to the London Coliseum. This first revival reunites many of the original cast: Anna Christy, Barry Banks, Clive Bayley, Sarah Pring and Dwayne Jones. Antony Walker conducts.
Jonathan Miller's simple and stylish production of Mozart's last collaboration with librettist Lorenzo da Ponte, Così fan tutte returns to Covent Garden. Julia Jones, making her Royal Opera debut, conducts.
