Road
Driving from King's Cross east along Pentonville Road, turn right into Goswell Road. At the first set of traffic lights, turn left into Lever Street. Thistle City Barbican hotel is situated on crossroads with Lever and Central Street. The hotel has 12 parking spaces available at a charge of £20 per night. Alternatively there is a NCP car park nearby.
Rail
Arriving at Euston Station, St. Pancras or Liverpool Street, take the Northern, Metropolitan, Circle or Hammersmith and City Line to Old Street or Barbican. Thistle City Barbican is on Central Street, 10 minutes walk from either tube station. There is a shuttle bus service available during peak hours from Monday to Thursday and on Friday morning only, which can take guests to the tube stations of Moorgate, Barbican or Old Street. Note this is a drop off service for one way only. For more information please ask at reception.

What's on?
Kenneth MacMillan's acclaimed production of Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet, premièred in February 1965 with Fonteyn and Nureyev, returns to the Royal Ballet's repertoire at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden. Boris Gruzin conducts.
Jonathan Miller's New York City Opera production of Donizetti's frothy Elixir of Love comes to the London Coliseum for the first time. Pablo Heras-Casado makes his British opera debut in the pit.
Handel's Tamerlano comes to the Royal Opera. Dutch mezzo Christianne Stotjin stars in the title role, while tenor Kurt Streit replaces an indisposed Plácido Domingo as Bajazet in all performances.
Director David Alden followed his award-winning ENO production of Janácek's Jenufa with Lucia di Lammermoor (both productions subsequently revived) and an ecstatically received Peter Grimes. He now returns to Janácek for a new production, Katya Kabanova, conducted by Mark Wigglesworth.
Philip Glass's Satyagraha, based on Gandhi's early life in South Africa, is revived at the London Coliseum in English National Opera and Metropolitan Opera's co-production. Staged by Improbable Theatre's Phelim McDermott Julian Crouch, its 2007 première was rapturously received.
