A contemporary hotel in Cheltenham with landscaped grounds
Many guests at Thistle Cheltenham are in town for a Festival. Cheltenham has no fewer than five, devoted to Literature, Music (the composer Gustav Holst was born here in 1874) Science, Jazz and, perhaps most famously, National Hunt racing.
It is one of the few hotels in Cheltenham situated near Cheltenham's original attraction, the ‘waters’, with Princess (later Queen) Victoria, the Duke of Wellington, Jane Austen and Lord Byron among the Spa’s devotees. They would probably still recognise many of the town’s beautiful Regency streets and gardens. Thistle Cheltenham, however, has comforts and conveniences they could never have even imagined.
We have 122 bedrooms, including suites, and 15 meeting rooms, the largest seating 400 people theatre-style. On site parking is available at a small additional charge. And in Cheltenham’s finest tradition, our Otium Health & Leisure Club has everything you need to refresh mind and body – the only water involved being our heated indoor swimming pool.
