Bustling Aberdeen Country Fair takes place in the city centre every first and last Saturday of the month and specialises in the finest local produce. There's everything here from Aberdeen Angus beef and fresh locally landed fish to whisky, wines, homemade confectionary and handicrafts.
Head down to Aberdeen's Belmont St and the Academy Shopping Centre for this monthly street market, where around 20,000 punters come to feast their eyes on local produce, delicacies and goodies.
The Australian Pink Floyd Show comes to the AECC, Aberdeen. The Antipodean tribute act has been touring the world performing renditions of Floyd's classic numbers, complete with a spectacular stage show, since the early Nineties.
Aberdeen's Highland Games, held in Hazlehead Park, offers a rich programme of events and competitions showcasing the skills of sportspeople, dancers and musicians from all over Scotland. The traditional "heavy" events - caber tossing, hammer-hurling and shot-putting - always attract the crowds, especially those who love to see men in kilts!
