  • Crathes Castle - 24.5 Miles

    A 16th century castle set in a 595 acre estate, situated just outside of Banchory, Aberdeenshire. The estate includes grand gardens and six woodland trails. Activities at the castle include craft lessons and a treetop adventure.

  • Castle Fraser - 26.4 Miles

    Ancestral home of the Fraser family, this baronial castle dates back to the 15th century. Inside the castle you will get a sense of what life was like from medieval times. Within the grounds there is the Woodland Secrets play area and several walking trails.

  • Dunnottar Castle - 13.9 Miles

    Situated in Stonehaven, a short drive from Aberdeen city centre, Dunnottar Castle is a ruined cliff top fortress set in dramatic surroundings. Visit these ruins to learn about the captivating historical tales of William Wallace and Mary Queen of Scots.

Parks

  • Duthie Park - 1.8 Miles

    Situated just outside the city centre, this 44 acre park includes a picturesque bandstand, ponds, fountains and statues. It is also home to the Winter Gardens which house many exotic plants.

  • Hazlehead Park - 2.8 Miles

    Situated on the outskirts of Aberdeen, the park has two golf courses, a pitch and putt, football fields, a large children’s play area, a maze and a petting zoo. It is also home to a number of sculptures by a range of artists.

Shopping

  • Union Square Shopping Centre - 2.4 Miles

    Aberdeen's newest shopping centre opened in 2009. It has two floors of shops and restaurants, including the House of Fraser department store and a 10-screen cinema. The centre encloses Aberdeen's bus station and train station, and has 1700 car parking spaces.
