Joe Queen, one of Scotland’s greatest food ambassadors has joined Thistle Hotels as executive chef – an appointment that will see Thistle’s food ambitions realised.
President of the Federation of Scottish Chefs, supervisor of the World Culinary Grand Prix and a key supporter of many culinary competitions including the renowned Future Chef programme, Joe is always happy to ‘fly the flag’ for the quality and taste of Scotland’s food and expertise of its food producers.
He originally trained at Turnberry under Stuart Cameron, whom he describes as ‘still an inspiration’ and was elected the huge honour of Master Chef of Britain status in xxxx (insert date).
Previous to joining Thistle Joe spent 11 years with Macdonald Hotels and was also executive chef at Craigendarroch on Royal Deeside.
At Thistle Joe will be responsible for developing and implementing Thistle’s new food standards and policies, in conjunction with the groups ongoing £100m investment programme to refurbish and rebrand its hotel portfolio.
