In a commitment to offering inspiring training venues, Thistle Hotels have launched a new ‘Power Nap’ training package at its Hotel in Brand Hatch. The delegate package, which includes the option for an afternoon nap, to help attendees perform better by clearing the brain’s short term memory.
The package follows independent research which revealed that curling up for an afternoon snooze can improve the brain’s ability to learn by clearing out cluttered memory space and making room for new facts to be remembered*.
Thistle recently completed a £50,000, self-contained training floor at its Brands Hatch Hotel. Designed, in part, with power napping in mind, it boasts a series of contemporary, stylish ‘sleep rooms’ containing comfy single beds, soft sheets, plump pillows and blackout blinds, perfect for the hour’s nap that is needed to help boost brain power.
Sarah Davidson, general manager at Thistle Brands Hatch, said: “This new facility has been designed to ensure that employers get the very best out of their employees. We’ve already received lots of interest from meetings and events organisers.”
The ‘Power Nap’ package forms part of the Training Centre re-launch which see the Hotel pledge to offer businesses a truly flexible approach to planning their training. Delegates can benefit from the hotel’s spectacular views of the world famous Brands Hatch Grand Prix track, providing an inspirational learning and training location for any company looking for a high-octane training venue.
In addition, the unique training floor boasts the largest conference room in North East Kent and has been specially designed as a self-contained training suite.. It can be booked for timeslots ranging from as little as one hour up to 52 weeks and can be branded, adapted, resized or even repainted to suit a particular business need.
Comprising six well-equipped conference rooms, two of which can be split into sections, the training floor is designed to suit a wide variety of activities and different sized groups. The largest room can hold 65 delegates theatre style, while the smallest is more intimate, with room for 15 delegates. The floor also has its own restrooms and a dedicated breakout lounge.
The hotel offers flexible pricing and special accommodation rates for delegates who wish to make longer-term bookings subject to availability, to ensure the best value. As an extra incentive, the conference booker will also receive a complimentary accommodation upgrade to a deluxe room.
Thistle is currently undergoing a £100million refurbishment of its hotels, including the roll out of a new corporate identity. In addition to developing the individual hotels which includes enhancements to the exteriors, new contemporary furnishings and state of the art technology, Thistle continues to place a strong focus on its staff as it believes that they are at the very heart of the guest experience.
