Thistle’s Middlesbrough property has launched its revolutionary conference and events offering with advanced technology facilities, following a £1million investment into the hotel’s bedrooms and main meetings area - The Cleveland Suite.
As well as first-class sound systems throughout and WiFi access for delegates, the completely refurbished suite is adding an extra dimension to meetings and events with state-of-the-art mood-creation. The LED ceiling can be utilised to convey a desired atmosphere through a wide choice of colour lighting to suit any event type, theme or corporate branding.
The Cleveland Suite, one of the hotel’s seventeen air-conditioned meeting areas can accommodate up to 400 delegates, theatre-style and can also be efficiently divided into smaller areas for break-out business sessions or smaller presentations – named the Ayton, Bedale, Carlton, Eston and Dinsdale rooms.
The ninth floor of the 132 bedroomed hotel also holds the particularly-characteristic penthouse meetings and events areas. The classic-style Boardroom notoriously makes an impression with business delegates and the modern Training Room with enhanced technology features are just some of the spacing options available on the top floor.
General manager of Thistle Middlesbrough, Peter Llewellyn comments: “Working with our corporate clients to provide bespoke meetings and events with the highest quality of service and advanced technology is a strong focus for the hotel – revealing the enhanced Cleveland Suite demonstrates our strong commitment to being one of the best business venues in the city.”
Thistle’s commitment to understanding the needs of the corporate guest extend further to its flexible, no-nonsense dining options, available 24 hours a day as well as the commitment of the hotel’s dedicated meetings team. Thistle’s focus on corporate guests being ‘Better Connected’ is not only through complete WiFi access, but the geographical spread of the portfolio; covering most major cities and business hubs.
Thistle is enhancing all areas and facilities of its 33-strong portfolio, including refurbishment of bedrooms and public areas and improved service quality across all hotels. This is part of Thistle’s £100m investment to rebrand all its hotels across the UK, including the roll-out of a brand new corporate identity.
